5 Meditation Techniques

1. Find The Right Pose
The classic position for meditation with legs crossed and palms open is not the only one you can use. Being comfortable while you meditate is a key factor of success. If the classic meditation pose doesn't feel comfortable for you, it is alright to choose another one. There are many meditation positions that you can try. You may sit on a cushion with your legs crossed or you may sit on a cushion while kneeling. If you suffer from back pain it is fine to just lie down while meditation. You may experiment with different positions and find the one you are most comfortable with.

Meditation-Can Improve Your Life

Here is a list of ways that meditation can improve your life:

1. Releases Resistance
Some people have estimated that 70-80% of the average person's daily thoughts are negative. Negative thoughts create vibrational resistance and are a sign that you are not in alignment with who you really are. Meditation helps to soothe resistance and bring you back into balance. It is a tuning process that helps you dial back in to your true, positive nature.

Build - Simple Meditation Practice

Build your meditation practice by imposing REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS. Here is my suggestion.

Day 1-7
Sit in a straight back chair rather than on the floor
Set your timer for 5 minutes
Set your intention as simply sitting
Breathe normally and allow yourself to just sit without any other expectations.

Meditate - in Easy Steps

1. Set aside some quiet space

This could be a separate room in your house or apartment (or even the garage!) if you've got the space.
Of it could just be a closed door that signals to other people in your household that you're meditating and need some quiet time where you're not interrupted.
Whichever way you do it matters less than the fact that you're making sure that you set aside a quiet space to meditate in.
